Assalamu alikum
Dear Community Members
I do hope you are well. But we are passing very difficult time at this period of time with COVID-19 and other unwanted matters. May almighty bless us all to overcome these issues with sensible actions and lots of prayers.
HAPPY NEW YEAR 1427
Please find below a summary of some tips to help us through this difficult and uncertain time:
- Remain connected to family and friends through technology (phone, text, facetime) – now’s the time to maintain those family bonds and tell them you love them near and far
- Set up a routine at home so each day has a structure – build in time to smell the roses and be grateful for what we have (e.g. sit in the garden with a cup of tea with your loved one and be present to feel the sun on your face and listen to the birds and appreciate the flowers and plants in your garden)
- Limit the news – it’s important to stay up to date but make sure this does not become all consuming and pull your mood down
- Take time to be in the present moment through prayers and donations and so on with good deeds
- Keep active – go for a walk in nature, fill your house with creative activities, cook some traditional foods that make you feel happy
- Keep busy (too much time can drive up the worries) – now could be the perfect opportunity to do those projects at home that you’ve been meaning to do!
- Stay connected with your boss and keep them up to date on your work projects
- Ensure your finances are in order as much as possible.
- Stay home, stay safe, stay strong, stay bless, keep social distance and stay focused
If any one would like to get some spiritual advice at this moment, Pls feel free to call Sh Hisham Obaeid, Imam Rivervale Mosque, WA. He will be very happy to chat with you and his contact number: 0418 881 321 (I have received consent from Sh on this matter)
I hope this helps. We do our best and May Allah bless us all!
Please look after yourself, your family and other members.
With Best Regards
Shahajahan Miyan
