Dear All,

This is a daily update from one of my fellow Buetian friend (living in USA) about his wife and himself. I’m sharing this because there are very important information to fight with this virus.

1st update on 12/04:

  My wife Sarah, might be infected with COVID-19 :

With a heavy heart and sadness, I am letting you all know( This is the second bad news of my day, first was from my cousin) that Sarah is having, all of a sudden, a strange fever since this morning!

She was feeling tired and could not get up from the bed whole day(But she was able to walk and go to the restroom on her own)

She did not test yet, we talked to the doctors and they advised to observe more about her fever and to get back on Monday if fever continues.

Her fever was very mild, around 100F. In the late evening, the fever went away with sweat. 

Then I thought may be it is not COVID-19, since for COVID-19, fever should never go away. But she was also feeling tired and fatigue ( big sign for COVID-19).

After a while that mild fever came back again! 

For all these weeks, I tried to protect her from outside world. We shutdown all therapy services for Tahseen which brings outside staff members to our home. They requested to continue their services – I told them a straight NO. I even never let her walk in our community sidewalk. I set the car AC mode to recycle internal airflow so that it never bring air from outside to infect her. 

I shopped ahead of time for months of supplies, I always sanitize items before her. I was giving her higher vitamin C solutions every night.

At this point my suspicion was on 4/5 days ago, when we bought Instacart items( online shopped items) just outside of our main door where the Costco guy left few hours ago. We never directly interact with any shopping guy. I usually write a shopping note: “please leave all items and leave.”

My suspicion that this box and other items had coronavirus there which she inhaled while carrying in that box inside. Although I sanitized it, but she was already carrying it without mask!

That was the ONLY time she was carrying  a box!

Since this morning, I started giving her Gatorade. She was feeling better, after that and kept her in our bedroom, isolating from kids. 

This is extremely unusual for an extremely hardworking person like her, for not being able to get up from the bed. We always enjoy drinking coffee together, watching movies and news  together in our reclining sofa. And she used to tell me: she does not want to go to any place, any parties, anywhere – except sitting by me in this room 😔😔😒. But today, She could not join😔😔.

Even last night we were joking together, about our Bollywood pictures. I just could not see how this might be coming!

[Or is it me, a silent carrier of COVID-19 that is inflicting this disease on her? Since it was I who always went  outside(even with mask). These thoughts are breaking me into pieces 😔.]

If it is tested to be COVID-19, you all should be very very careful, since I almost made a fortress to block this virus and failed.

Be extra careful handling online shopped items.

Again, I am psychologically devastated to isolate her in a room( She was telling all of us to keep distance with her) 

 

We need prayers from all of you, I just wish it is not COVID-19! But I am not finding any plausible candidates ( flu, rheumatic fever, allergy – none of them fitting the symptoms)
