Thanks Sabbir Bhai for clarification about introduction of “Mongol Shova Jatra”. Hope that someone in the future will not introduce another innovative idea of “Holi Khela” with Dhol and as usual will claim as Bangla culture. The way we are progressing is very promising to achieve that in the near future.
Thanks Mahi Bhai for the information regarding 1989 is the starting year of that rally. I also think so, because I was grown up in rural Bangladesh in 1970s and 1980s. I never saw such thing at that time.
Nizam bhai, I’m not sure what you have claimed as “shirk” is right or wrong – Allah knows the best. In our area, we call this kind of activity “Ajaira kam”, My in-laws area call it “faisha kaj”. English call it worthless. Time is the most valuable gift that is given to human being by it’s creator. He has created time and has gifted us limited, it will over one day and that day is not far – when I will be questioned how I spent time on earth. Worthless activities are justified as worthwhile work when one has limited understanding about purpose of life.
And Bappi Bhai, please do not speak something about which you do not know and you are not qualified in that area. Please feel free to communicate with a qualified person for clarification about your view. May Allah help you to understand.

Please my email was with respect to the misunderstanding of the fundamental base of Islam that some of our brothers used to mix up with the tradition of culture. I strongly mentioned those are Shirk and Allah give serious warning about such acts.In the name of Pohela Baishak such acts are already prevailing those mentioned by Mr. Forhad and those are the cultural pollution. If someone has the god-fearness and believe in the day of judgement should not divert these acts to his favour. তবে সবচেয়ে গুরুত্ব পাওয়া দরকার শিরকের বিষয়গুলো।যেমন:(ক) লাল সাদার সাথে বাঙালীর কী সম্পর্ক? এটা তো শাঁখা সিদুরের কালার!তাহলে কি কৌশলে আমাকে শাঁখাসিদুরে অভ্যস্ত করা হচ্ছে?(খ) রমনা বটমূলে ছায়ানটের শিল্পীরা বাদ্যযন্ত্র নিয়ে প্রস্তুত, প্রস্তুত শ্রোতারা, অপেক্ষা কেবল সূর্য উঠার, সূর্য উঠার অপেক্ষায় মুসলমান থাকতে পারে? , এটা তো সূর্য পুজারীদের কাজ! মুসলমান সূর্য উঠলে ইবাদত বন্ধ করে দেয়। কারণ নবীজী সা. সূর্য উঠা আর ডুবার সময় নামাজ পড়তে নিষেধ করেছেন, যেনো আমাদের ইবাদত সূর্যপূজারীদের সাথে মিলে না যায়, আর সেই মুসলমান প্রত্যুষে ফজরের সালাহ বাদ দিয়ে সূর্য উঠার অপেক্ষায় থাকবে?!!(গ) সূর্য উঠার সাথে সাথেই রবি ঠাকুরের প্রার্থণামূলক সঙ্গীত "এসো হে বৈশাখ এসো……" দিয়ে শুরু হবে বর্ষবরণ। ঠাকুরের প্রার্থনা কি এক আল্লাহর কাছে?!!ওহে মুসলমান তুমিও সে মুশরিকের ভাষায় প্রার্থনা করবে?এই গানটির মধ্যে শিরক স্পষ্ট। কারণ তার একটি কলি হলো "অগ্নিস্মানে সুচি হোক ধরা"অর্থাৎ আগুনে গোসল দিয়ে গোটা জগত পবিত্র হোক। আগুন পবিত্র করার ক্ষমতা রাখে এ বিশ্বাস হিন্দুদের, আর তাই মৃত্যুর পর আগুনে পুড়িয়ে পবিত্র করে;ওহে মুসলমান তুমিও কি সে বিশ্বাসে বিশ্বাসী?!!আসতাগফিরুল্লাহ।(ঘ) সবচেয়ে ভয়ঙ্কর শিরক হয় মঙল শোভাযাত্রায়।এই শোভাযাত্রায় অংশগ্রহণ করে সকল অমঙ্গল দূর করবে। মঙ্গল অমঙ্গলের মালিক কে? এখানে প্রার্থনাটা কার কাছে?সেটা বুঝতে হিন্দুদের একটা বিশ্বাস সম্পর্কে জানতে হবে।হিন্দুদের এক দেবতার নাম বিষ্ণু দেবতা, যার পত্নী হচ্ছে লক্ষ্মীদেবী। যার পাঁচ কন্যা; পদ্মা, পদ্মালয়া, ইন্দিরা, শোভা, কমলা। তাদের বিশ্বাস সমস্ত মঙ্গলের মালিক হচ্ছে লক্ষ্মী দেবী, যার বাহন হলো পেচা।চারুকলার সোনার ছেলেরা বিভিন্ন দেব-দেবীর মূর্তির সাথে পেচার মূর্তিটিও ঢুকিয়ে দেয় মঙ্গল শোভাযাত্রায়।এবার ভাবুন, পেচা কি বাংলায় কথা বলে? না পান্তা ইলিশ খায়? পেচার সাথে বাঙালীর কী সম্পর্ক?আসলে সম্পর্ক বাঙ্গালীর সাথে নয়, লক্ষ্মীদেবীর বাহন রেডি করে আহবান করা হচ্ছে তাকে। কারণ সে না আসলে মঙল বিতরণ করবে কে?লা হাওলা…………………….!!আসলে শয়তান যদি আমাদের পূজামণ্ডপে ডাকতো আমরা তো যেতাম না, তাই সে কৌশল পরিবর্তন করে আমাকে দিয়ে শিরক ঠিকই করাচ্ছে, কিন্তু নাম দিচ্ছে বাঙালী চেতনা!!এভাবেই সাজাতে পারি কালকের জুম’আর খুতবা।কাউকে উপদেশ দেওয়া নয়, মনে করুন আমার পড়াটা শুনালাম। সাথে আমার মতো কমজানা মানুষগুলোও একটু পড়ে নিলো!জাযাকুমুল্লাহু খাইরা।—
