Dear Community MembersI thought I would share my story with the broader community so that you can make an informed decision while buying ticket from Malindo Air.I bought a return ticket to Chittagong from here. I had 13 hours transit in Kualalampur between flight of Perth and Chittagong. After spending the whole day at Kualalampur when I reached the airport on the evening, I came to know that the flight to Chittagong was cancelled and I would have to fly to Dhaka and I was advised that my luggages will be flying with me to Dhaka. Please note that, the only reason I bought a ticket from Malindo accepting a 13 hour transit was to go straight to Chittagong. When I reached Dhaka, I could not find my luggages there and it took 2 hours to complaint about the missing luggages. I went to Bangladesh for a short period of time and my whole stay was planned for Chittagong. The Malindo Air staff advised that I would have to collect the luggages from Dhaka Airport. Hearing that I was feeling outrageous. After a lengthy conversation with the staff they agreed to deliver my luggages to Chittagong airport. By the time I reached Dhaka, there were no domestic flight available to Chittagong. So, I was forced to stay in a hotel in Dhaka which was organized by Malindo. Then came another surprise, the hotel was offering shared room for 3 to 4 people together. I was very concerned about my security and privacy. After hour long bargaining, the hotel manager agreed to allocate me a single room. By that time it was 2:00AM. Then, while the Domestic flight to Chittagong was at 7:30 AM they checked me out from hotel at 5:00AM without offering any breakfast. When I arrived at the airport there was no one from Malindo air to guide us to the Domestic flight. The bad luck continued and due to fog the 7:30AM flight started at 9:45AM.I received my luggages from Chittagong Airport one week after and to fulfill the nightmare with all possible bad experiences, discovered that some items were missing from the luggages. In addition to that, the food experience and the service of the air crew was in simple word, TERRIBLE and nowhere near any international flight standard. On the return journey as well, the flight from Chittagong was cancelled and the flight from Dhaka was delayed by 3 hours. The Malindo Staff from Chittagong Airport confirmed that they only flown 2 to 3 flights to and from Chittagong at the beginning when the service started in end of March and since then they have been offering the same suffering to the innocent passengers. In the name of business what they are doing is pure CHEATING with customers. I have travelled 10 different countries with more than 12 different carriers including some low budget airlines but so far Malindo provided the worst experience ever.I have complained about the experience to them and yet to receive a response. Do you know of any Australian regulatory body who deals with such complaints against International Airlines?ThanksManojTHANKING YOUManoj BaruaCoordinator Transport & TrafficRoad Safety AuditorCity of Wanneroo
