Dear brothers and sisters,
We are now passing last few days of Ramadan. There is taqwa or piety behind every worship. Verily if there is no taqwa in our heart we would not perform our salat. And Allah would not forgive our sins rather punish us with severe chastisement. However Allah is always forgiving sanctioning prayer for five times in a day,it could have been ten times more but Allah did not want to impose burden on every soul which they cannot bear. Allah reveals:
‘la ukallefullahu nafsan illa usaha laha ma kasabat wa alaiha maktasabat’ [sura bakara, ayat 286 ]
Zakat is an worship and a great ebadah beyond which taqwa is working.Itis a poor due, it is not a tax that is taken out from our pocket rather it cleans our heart and assets. It increases our assets as it has been indicated in the koran:
‘wama ataitum min zakatin turiduna wazhallahi faulaeka humul mudefun’—But that which you give for charity, seeking the countenance of Allah,[will increase]: it is these who will get a recompence multiplied.[sura rum ayat 39] However if zakat was not paid up yet during Ramadan it then could be paid after Ramadan. There remains many zakat collecting orgaisations who are also very sincere distributing zakat but it is better to offer in our country where there is many poor and needy people living. Taqwa is also prompting to do fasting in adoration. It also a great worship and an ebadah. Likewise hazz etc.
This year we heard many death news from among our relatives.May Allah keeps their souls in peace. Truly death is a gift for those who are momen [ righteous] We ask Allah to give us Toufic so that we increase the quality and quantity of our ebadah as preparation for the future world.
Warm regards,
Nazmul Ahsan
