Dear Community Members

I would like to give you more updates how to perform Eid-ul- Fitr
salah in addition to my last night email based on MADHAB. Such as
follows:

·         Eid Salat consists of two Rakats and six Takbirs according
to HANAFI MADHAB ( 3 Takbir in the first Rakat and 3 Takbir in the
second Rakat)

·         Eid Salat consists of two Rakats and 12 Takbirs according
to SHAFI MADHAB ( 7 Takbir in the first Rakat and 5Takbir in the
second Rakat)

·         Eid Salat consists of two Rakats and 11 Takbirs according
to MALIKI AND HANBALI ( 6 Takbir in the first Rakat and 5Takbir in the
second Rakat)

Different Scholars give their opinion regarding the importance of the
Salat ( Prayer) differently:

·         Salat at EID IS WAJIB (necessary/mandatory) according to
Hanafi Scholars

·         SUNNAH AL- MU’KKADAH according to Maliki and Sha’fi
Scholars and

·         FARD according to Hanbali Scholars

NIYYAH:

We can do in Arabic or in English.

First, we will make the Niyyah (intention) which is in English: “ I
intend to do two Rakat behind the Imam for  Eid ul Fitr prayer along
with six or 12 or 11 additional Takbirs”. Pls do additional Takbir
based on the Madhab.

We do respect them all. I hope this might help you in performing Eid
Salah. Pls consult any one of our local scholars for more
clarification and better understanding.
