Dear Community Members,
BAAWA’s celebration of International Mother Language Day (IMLD) is now only few sleeps away!
Hon. Paul Papalia CSC MLA, Minister for Tourism; Racing and Gaming; Small Business; Defence Issues; Citizenship and Multicultural Interests, Yaz Mubarakai MLA, WA Labor Member for Jandakot and Dr Moni Paneru, President of Nepalese Association of WA have kindly agreed to attend the event.
BAAWA cultural team will deliver a multicultural performance on the night along with the debate competition between our 2nd generation community members, more details are below:
Venue: Cockburn Youth Centre, 25 Wentworth Parade, Success, WA
Date: Saturday, 23 February, 2019
Program start Time @ 7:00 pm
– Welcome and arrival of Guests
– Speeches from honorable Guests
– Laying of flowers & showing respects to Ekushe martyrs
Multi-cultural performance starts @ 8 pm
Dinner break @ 9 pm
– Dinner items, soft drinks, tea/coffee/water will be on sale
Debate competition starts @ 9:30 pm
Program concludes @ 10:15 pm
