Dear Perthbashi Bangladeshis,
I have been requested by Curtin University's South Asian Mothers and Children Being Active (SAMBA) project to circulate their invitation to Bangladeshi mothers and their primary school-aged children residing in Perth to participate in a free 10-week physical activity program.
About the program
SAMBA is a culturally-sensitive and collaboratively-designed physical activity program for South Asian mothers and their primary school-aged children. During the-10-week SAMBA program mothers will attend one 90 minute session per week, with their child.. Each session will include fun activities (e.g., dance) led by female instructors, and interesting information to help the mothers and children to become more active. SAMBA will take place on Sunday afternoons at the Bull Creek community centre located at the corner of Hassell Crescent and Leichhardt Street, starting from July 2019.
