Dear Perthbashi,

Update: Winner of the 1st match of BAAWA President XI and GS XI cricket series is GS XI.

It was a very competitive game as the winer was decided on 4th ball of last over. GS XI batted first and scored total 99 runs from 15 overs. On the otherhand President XI chased up to 96 and all out.

This is a reminder and invitation for the second match of BAAWA President XI and GS XI cricket series. There are 3 matches will be played between  BAAWA President XI and GS XI teams over the 3 weekend (Sunday)  to decide the winner. It is a great opportunity for non-regular players to participate and enjoy the game with other armature cricketers from our Bangladesh community. There is no age restriction as well.

Date & time:

Second Match will be on 9 am, Sunday, 10th March 2019

Final Match will be on Sunday, 17th March 2019.

By Laws:

1. Duration: 20 overs per side (T20)
2. Power play: first 6 overs
3. Power play restrictions: Only non-regular players can bowl or bat; 2 fielders outside the inner circle;    
4. Innings break: 15 minutes
5. Minimum five bowlers must be used to bowl out the 20 overs
6. A bowler can bowl maximum of 3 overs
7. Other standard cricketing rules will be applied for LBW decision and extra delivery (e.g., overstepping, over waist height, extra bouncer and free hit)
8. Umpires’ initial decision on any cricketing event or dispute will be conclusive. Please note umpires will give decision based on their observation. There is no scope of persuading the umpires by any means.   

Note: Please bring your own point guard, shoes, hat, sun glass, sunscreen, water etc..and BAAWA will provide rest cricketing gears.
