Dear Community Members,
I hope you’re all doing well and getting ready for the holiday season. On behalf of BAAWA EC 2019-20, I would like to give you a quick update on what we’ve done in November and what we’re planning for December.
Membership Update
The limited time discount offer for new and membership renewals has now expired. In November, we have received numerous renewals (THANK YOU!), couple of new membership applications and 3 new lifetime members! Thanks everyone for your continued support for BAAWA.
EC & Subcommittee Update
– EC members worked hard to make this year’s Picnic and Annual Sports a successful event. If you have missed it, watch this “Tug-of-War” video on our FB page -> https://www.facebook.com/baawaperth/videos/2611623282260775/
– Apart from picnic, we have also managed to secure a BD fan-zone for T20 Women’s World Cup Match between BD vs Ind on 24 February 2020. Please buy your tickets before 13th December from here -> https://tickets.t20worldcup.com/shows/show.aspx?sh=WT20WC0420&ep=TIGERSWA
– BAAWA Sports have finalized two of their upcoming events – 5-a-side Bijoy Dibosh Soccer tournament and the first ever BAAWA Cup 2020: Inter University T20 Cricket Tournament.
– Cultural team is busy organizing the upcoming Bijoy Dibosh Cultural Program. Also, cultural team is in the process of finalizing BAAWA Natok 2020 and planning is underway for next year’s IMLD debate.
– Social Media, Website & Content Management subcommittee met and discussed how to communicate better and become more useful and interactive with the community.
Events in November
Picnic & Annual Sports was thoroughly enjoyed by around 200 community members. The feedback is very positive. We would like to thank everyone for their wholehearted support.
