Mr. Bose and his family moved to Perth in 2007 as permanent residents of Australia directly from home country Bangladesh. “Like other migrants, we were badly missing friends and family during initial months of our arrival. Bangali people living in WA helped us a lot to survive emotionally in foreign land and eventually make it our second home. We would like to acknowledge their support on this auspicious occasion”, said Mr. Bose and Ms. Saha.
When asked why did you choose to become a life member, they continued, “BAAWA has played a great role over the years to uphold Bangali culture by organising annual cultural show, celebrating Bangla New Year and other national days. We have actively participated in almost all BAAWA events since 2007. We have tried to get the flavour of Bangladesh in abroad through BAAWA. Becoming a life member is just a formality. We were always with BAAWA and will be with this organisation in future”.
And finally, they shared a message to the community – “We have walked together a long path under the umbrella of BAAWA and wish to remain united in future.”
