This may be a surprise but Arnotts products are not halal certified and many of them use animal and insect extracts.
I talked to a lady at Arnotts who confirmed it.
In addition to E422 and E471, E120 (cochineal extract) is also not halal.
You may wish to check the ingredients before you buy any Arnotts products including Tim-Tam.
May Allah save/protect us from Haram and impure food and income.
