(Forwarding the message on behalf of Mr. Mafizul Islam, Registrar, Pathshala Bangla School)
Dear Perthbashi,
Pathshala Bangla School (PBS) was established in 2010 by the Bangladesh Association of Western Australia (BAAWA) to offer lessons in Bangla language and numeracy to the younger generation of Bangladesh community living in Perth. The activities of the school are governed by a Committee consisting of PBS Teachers, parents of PBS students and other patrons of the PBS. The school runs on revenues generated from various sources including tuition fees paid by the parents of the enrolled students and grants received from external sources such as the Office of Multicultural Interest (OMI).
The school runs its classes in parallel with the calendar of the Western Australia State Primary School with four terms every year. The classes are held on every Sunday from 4:00pm to 5.30pm at Canning Vale Community Centre, Cnr of Waratah Blvd and Eucalyptus Blvd.
PBS Management Committee would like to invite expression of interest from suitable persons from Bangladeshi community to registrar their interests for working as a volunteer PBS teacher. The selected teacher will be required to obtain WWC certificate which PBS will assist to obtain.
