Dear Community Members,
Coronavirus (COVID-19) has been declared a pandemic by WHO. Both federal and state governments have taken this very seriously and so should we.
There is a pandemic plan prepared by the state government for all of us to follow. This updated Pandemic Plan sets out further arrangements for protecting the community and minimizing potential impacts of the coronavirus, and recovery afterwards. Please have a read at https://www.wa.gov.au/covid19 under WA Government Response.. An easy-to-understand explanation can be found here – > https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-03-11/wa-coronavirus-covid-19-pandemic-plan-explained/12045932?fbclid=IwAR1jCP29XX8m8ypBhMrXICzkVrViBsW2eurpxs_0H_tSe-VDP-XNOAZlh6U
Good planning means we need to consider every scenario and this plan, together with other specific health and emergency management plans already activated, prepares us for every possible scenario.
BAAWA is closely monitoring the situation and will continue to update you on the situation and urge every community member to remain calm, use common sense and listen to the advice. In the meantime, it is important that the community follow the instructions given by the Health Department.
Stay safe, stay blessed.
Kind regards,
Tasneemul Galib (Amit)
