Dear Parents and Children,
We are on the third week of the holy Ramadan. Two Sunday gatherings have passed and we have seen quite a nice participation of brothers and sisters. However there were a few concerns that I need to raise in regards to the past couple of sessions which I would like to point out in the bulleted format.
- it was noticed that the children who participated in the first session which was held on (28-05-2017) have not taken part in the second session held on (04-06-2017).
- I have noticed there were errors on the punctuation and pronunciation of words of Ayats. Some children could not pronounce the words correctly. Some failed to alter Auzubillah Mena Sheitaneh Rajim … Bismillaheh Rahmaneh Rahim.
- I observed that children who take the Islamic schools are a lot more confident and comfortable with reciting the Koran that those who go to normal schools. If it is not possible for your children to attend the Islamic school, then it is advised that those children are enrolled to after school Koran sessions at the end of their normal school hours.
Here are a few reflections that I would like to leave you with to remind you of how important it is to be close to Koran and its teachings.
من قرأ حرفا من كتاب الله فله به حسنة والحسنة بعشر أمثالها
The person who reads even one letter of any Ayat in Koran, there is one Neki (Reward) for him and every reward would turn to be ten multiple (Tirmizi) narrator – Ebne Masud (R.)
بلغوا عني و لوي كان حرفا
Take to mankind if even one “harf” from my side (Bokari).
خيركم من تعلم القرآن وعلمه
That person is better amongst you who learned Koran and teach others (Bokhari). Narrator: Hazrat Usman (R.)
Dear parents, please bring your children in the Tarabi prayers in the mosque where children hear the Koran recitation.
Compete in the recitation of AMIC.
