BAAWA is very pleased to let you know that it will hold a tribute program (informal band show) in memory of Bangladeshi rock legend Ayub Bachchu who passed away last week. The untimely demise of Ayub Bachchu has left a big hole in the band music industry of Bangladesh and the outpouring of emotions after his death was remarkable! Ayub Bachchu and his band members (LRB) performed in Perth few years ago and some of us still cherish memories with them!
BAAWA has contacted local Perth band Dhrubok and they confirmed their participations in the tribute show singing popular songs from Ayub Bachchu’s famous albums. Along Dhrubok, there would be solo performances from popular singers of the community as well but we would like to invite any other performers/band groups willing to perform in this show, pls just send an email to culture@baawa.org.au .
