Dear Perthbashi,
BAAWA Sports is going to restart the Live Lighter soccer training program this Sunday 8 July 2018 at 3:30 PM at Canning Vale College Oval (Comrie Rd). This program is proudly sponsored by Healthway. The objectives of Healthway sponsorship programs are:
– To encourage healthy lifestyles through the effective promotion of health messages relating to Healthway priority areas;
– To reduce, where ever possible, the promotion of unhealthy messages or brands which undermine Healthway objectives;
– To facilitate structural and policy change within organisations and venues to create healthy environments; and
– To increase opportunities for priority populations to participate in healthy activities.
Soccer training for children aged between 6 and 14 are being supervised by two professional coaches – Jonny Warrington and Jamie. Jonny has FFA B licence, FFA C Licence (Jnr), FFA Senior Licence (ADV), FA LVL I& II and FA Preliminary Badge. Jamie works at Bayswater Soccer club. We already have a group of children who are regularly participating and very excited about the program. Some of them actually start asking their parents from the morning – “is it 3 o’clock yet?”. We also have more female participants than males. These are great achievements for BAAWA and the community as a whole.
If your children is already participating please share your experience with other parents. We would love to see some new faces in the upcoming sessions on 08, 15, 22 and 29 July 2018. The venue remains the same – Canning Vale College Oval (Comrie Rd, Canning Vale).
Best regards,
Dr. Mohammad Alam ,
Sports Secretary, BAAWA
